Welcome to the open auditions for Purge – a play by Sofi Oksanen, translated from Finnish by Eva Buchwald. The play is about 2 hours 20 mins long and will be directed by Adrian Goldman (MA in Theatre Directing, member of TEME).
The auditions will be held at the NoName Theatre on Saturday 8 August 2026 at 10:00-16:00, with possible callbacks/further auditions on Sunday 9 August 2026 at 10:00-13:00. Each auditioner will present a very short scene from the play in three different interpretations. You will be provided with the text when you sign up for auditions.
Immediately after the auditions, on 9 August 2026 at 14:00-19:00, there will be a readthrough of the script with the selected cast, as well as an introduction to how Adrian intends to work, which is based on Katie Mitchell’s methods. We will also firm up and adjust the rehearsal schedule to avoid conflicts, so it is important that you know your availability to the end of November.
