Welcome to open auditions for Haunted House, a comedy Halloween play written and directed by Zachariah Chamberlaine & Todd Elliott.
Auditions will be held at the NoName Theatre Helsinki on Sunday 31 August at 18–21. Please note that you must register in advance in order to participate.
See below if you are unable to attend, but still wish to be considered.
THE PLAY
A hapless estate agent is trying to sell a haunted manor house, but its otherworldly residents seem to be conspiring against him. A smart and sophisticated zombie, a down-to-earth hag and a bitchy vampyre are some of the regular guests, along with a trickster demon, a highly dubious chef and a fake medium who’s in for a big surprise. There’s a hopeful applicant who wants to join the resident team of ghosts with unfinished business and animated inanimate objects in the attic, and someone hoping to speak to their deceased spouse. Plus the odd murderer and victim.
The play is in essence a selection of comedy horror sketches that occur in different rooms, but with an overarching story and some reoccurring characters, which will facilitate rehearsal scheduling.
